2021 Micro film

This assignment introduces film as a tool for looking at the city. Students will utilize images from their storyboard to construct a film, animating them with the "Ken Burns effect" and considering how to convey an idea about the city through the language of film.

How do time, duration, editing, superposition, overlaying and other techniques specific to film allow people to extend the ideas in storyboard to create new ones will be the key. Students are encouraged to overlay sounds from the city as an audio track for the work. The resulting film should roughly 3 minutes long.
